I was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Queens. In 1990, I began my banking career working first for the Astoria Federal Savings Bank, and later, Chase Manhattan. I worked in a variety of positions including bank teller, CSR, LOA assistant, loan officer and finally, loan processor before deciding to move west.
I chose to move to Arizona after my youngest daughter was diagnosed with severe asthma and it’s the best decision I ever made – both personally and professionally. The experience at V.I.P. has been overwhelming but wonderful. I love how family oriented the company is and how anyone will stop what they’re doing to step in and help out a colleague. It really says a lot about the people and about how V.I.P. treats their employees. It’s inspiring.
As a single mom, spending time with my two daughters is the most important piece of my life. Whether we are at the movies, shopping, watching T.V., it’s being together that counts. I have taught them that giving back to the community is a beautiful thing and makes you appreciate what you have that others may not. We volunteer at cancer walks, juvenile diabetes, cleaning at women’s shelters, donate food to low income families and paint at the Boys & Girls Club.
